Urbana 47 Inn
Rome, Italy | 2022
Nestled in the ancient Leonine City of Borgo Pio, a stone’s throw from St. Peter’s Basilica, these apartments boast a prime location surrounded by historic artisan stores and quaint restaurants. The apartments’ industrial design utilizes salvaged elements and custom-made furnishings to match the eclectic style of the owner’s other venture, the Urbana 47 restaurant located in Rome’s Monti neighborhood. The concept was designed to experience the city in an alternative way.
The interior courtyard is nestled between the main artery of Borgo Pio and the remarkable Passetto Wall, an elevated passage reserved only for the Pope and his close cohort a private connection between the Vatican City and Castel Sant’Angelo. A green and peaceful space, perfect for enjoying an outdoor breakfast or relaxing after a day exploring Rome.
